By accessing or using the TaxiShare Global mobile application and website ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.
2. Description of Service
TaxiShare Global is a platform that connects airline travelers arriving at similar times who wish to share taxi rides to nearby destinations. Our Service includes:
- Matching travelers based on flight times and destinations
- In-app messaging to coordinate meeting points
- Deep links to third-party ride-hailing services (Uber, Bolt)
Important: TaxiShare Global is a matching platform only. We do not provide transportation services, employ drivers, or handle payments for rides. All taxi bookings are completed through third-party services.
3. Eligibility
To use our Service, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements
- Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws
4. User Accounts
When creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
5. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to use the Service to:
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Provide false flight or destination information
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
- Collect personal information from other users without consent
- Send spam or unsolicited messages
- Interfere with the Service's operation or security
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
6. Safety Guidelines
For your safety when meeting matched travelers:
- Meet only in designated public areas (e.g., official taxi ranks)
- Verify your match's identity using the app before sharing a ride
- Trust your instincts—you may cancel a match at any time
- Do not share personal contact details outside the app
- Report any concerning behavior through the app
7. Third-Party Services
Our Service integrates with third-party ride-hailing platforms (Uber, Bolt, etc.). When using these services:
- You are subject to their respective terms of service
- TaxiShare Global is not responsible for their services, pricing, or availability
- All payments are processed directly by the third-party service
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by UK law:
- TaxiShare Global is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
- We do not guarantee matches will be available for your flight
- We are not liable for the conduct of other users
- We are not responsible for any issues with third-party taxi services
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the past 12 months
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TaxiShare Global, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
10. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by TaxiShare Global and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes via the app or email. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
14. Dispute Resolution
Before filing a legal claim, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting us. If we cannot resolve the dispute within 30 days, either party may proceed with formal legal action.
